Keep new tabs from taking over.

Tab Guard keeps selected websites in the tab you are using. Choose the sites. Keep exceptions. Leave ordinary browsing alone.

Focused control

Block the tab, not the whole web.

1

Add a hostname pattern

Choose which sites should keep links and forms in the current tab. Use * only when you need a broader match.

2

Allow the exceptions

Whitelist patterns always win. A protected subdomain can stay free to open new tabs when that is the useful behavior.

3

Browse normally

Same-tab links are unchanged. Tab Guard acts only on sites you configured and only when a new tab is being created.

Private by design

Your tab rules stay on your device.

No account, analytics, browsing-history collection, remote filter lists, or advertising. Tab Guard has no product backend.
